Ivy Drive Weekly News - Week of Sept. 14-18
Dear Ivy Drive School Community:
What an amazing week of learning, connection, creativity, and P.R.I.D.E. at Ivy Drive! As we continue settling into the school year, we are excited to highlight some of the special ways our students, staff, and families are building a strong and connected school community.
Student of the Week
Each Friday, we are proud to recognize our Ivy Drive Students of the Week! Students are celebrated for demonstrating our P.R.I.D.E. expectations and making positive contributions to their classrooms and school community. We love recognizing our Dragons for the many ways they demonstrate Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, and Enthusiasm each day! This week we have two sets of siblings across different grade levels who all were recognized as "Students of the Week"...can you believe that? Way to go Dragons!
P.R.I.D.E. PACK NEWS
Every morning, Ivy Drive starts the day with PRIDE PACK News, hosted by our amazing student leaders in Grades 4 and 5! Our school tunes-in for a video morning message featuring special happenings around Ivy Drive, daily lunch choices, reminders about our P.R.I.D.E. expectations, and birthday shout-outs.
PRIDE PACK News is a fun way to keep our entire school connected and informed while providing meaningful opportunities for our oldest Dragons to build their confidence, communication skills, and leadership. A special thank you to Mrs. O’Dea, Ms. Zogaj, and Mrs. Bouldin for organizing and supporting our student leaders each day!
IVY DRIVE PTA
Our Ivy Drive PTA is an important partner in creating memorable experiences and opportunities for our students and families. PTA meetings are held monthly, and we encourage all families to join us, learn more about what is happening at Ivy Drive, share ideas, and find ways to become involved in our school community. Whether you can participate regularly or simply join us when your schedule allows, we would love to have you! On Thursday, September 17th the PTA came together for their first meeting of the school year and we were so excited to welcome new families and staff to the meeting. Please join us for our next meeting on October 8th at 6:30pm in the cafeteria - we look forward to seeing you there!
Thank you, Ivy Drive families, for your continued partnership and support. Together, we are creating a school community where every Dragon feels connected, supported, and encouraged to do their best!
Have a wonderful long weekend! I look forward to welcoming all of our Ivy Drive Dragons back to school on Tuesday, September 22. As a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, September 21, in observance of Yom Kippur.
