Good Afternoon, Ivy Drive School Community:
What a wonderful and busy week of learning, family engagement, and community connections at Ivy Drive School!
First, I want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our families who joined us this week for our Student-Led Parent-Teacher Conferences! It was wonderful to welcome so many families into our school and provide our students with opportunities to share their learning, celebrate their accomplishments, and reflect on their progress. We are incredibly proud of our students for taking ownership of their learning and grateful to our teachers and families for working together to support their continued growth and success!
We also enjoyed a special Fire Safety Visit from the Bristol Fire Department this week! Our students learned important lessons about fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and making safe choices. A special thank you to the Bristol Fire Department for taking the time to visit Ivy Drive and help keep our Dragons safe!
We have another exciting week ahead, filled with learning opportunities and fall festivities!
- Monday, October 26 – BAIMS Presentation for Grade 5: Mrs. Wininger, a guidance counselor from Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School (BAIMS) will visit Ivy Drive to introduce our current fifth graders to the opportunities available at BAIMS as they begin thinking about their transition to middle school.
- Thursday, October 29 – Kindergarten Pumpkin Event: Our kindergarten students and families will enjoy a special fall celebration featuring engaging activities connected to literacy, math, and science! Parents/ guardians are asked to please RSVP to attend the event, so we can plan accordingly!
- Thursday, October 29 – Grade 4 Box Out Bullying Event: Our fourth graders will participate in an interactive bullying prevention program at BAIMS, focused on kindness, respect, inclusion, and positive relationships.
- Friday, October 30 – Pumpkin Adventures at Ivy Drive! Students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to school as we celebrate the season together! We kindly ask that all costume masks, props, and accessories remain at home to ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for everyone. Costumes should be school-appropriate and allow students to participate fully in their regular school activities.
Thank you, Ivy Drive Families!
As we wrap up another busy week, I want to thank our families for your continued involvement, encouragement, and partnership. Whether you joined us for conferences, supported a school event, or celebrated your child's learning at home, your involvement makes a meaningful difference in our school community.
We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated and supportive school community.
Wishing all of our Ivy Drive Dragons and families a wonderful weekend!
