Ivy Drive School Weekly News - Week of Oct. 26

Dear Ivy Drive School Community:

What an exciting and fun-filled week at Ivy Drive School! As we wrap up October, I want to thank our incredible students, families, and staff for making this week so special!

Our kindergarten students enjoyed a wonderful week of fall learning and celebrations! During our Kindergarten Pumpkin Event, students explored pumpkins through hands-on activities connected to their Five Senses curriculum. We ended the week with our third annual Pumpkin Adventures, bringing our school community together for an afternoon filled with fun, teamwork, and lasting memories for our youngest learners! A huge thank you to our kindergarten teachers, staff, and family volunteers for making these experiences so memorable!

This week, our fourth graders also participated in the Box Out Bullying presentation at BAIMS, reinforcing the importance of kindness, respect, and positive relationships.

Congratulations to our Third Grade Dragons for winning our October Attendance Popcorn Challenge! Thank you to our amazing third-grade students, families, and teachers for working together to make arriving at school on time a priority throughout October. We are so proud of you!

We are also incredibly proud to share that Ivy Drive School has been recognized as a 2026 Connecticut School of Distinction for High Growth for High Needs Students in Mathematics! This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our students, teachers, staff, and families. What a wonderful accomplishment for our entire school community!

As we head into November, thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are grateful for our Ivy Drive families and the many ways you help make our school such a special place to learn and grow.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and fun Halloween weekend!
