Ivy Drive School: Weekly News - Week of May 19-23

Posted Date: 5/24/25 (9:02 PM)

Good Afternoon, Ivy Drive School Community:
Another amazing week of teaching and learning at Ivy Drive School!  Students in grades three through five wrapped up their state SBA assessments, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and determination. The IVY P.R.I.D.E. they demonstrated—especially their perseverance—was truly inspiring.

In the upcoming week, staff will be working to complete make-up assessments, so please continue to send your student to school with their fully charged Chromebooks.

This week, we also hosted the Spring Ivy Drive Band and Choral Concert featuring our fourth and fifth grade band, advanced band, and chorus students. The performance was fantastic, showcasing the talent and growth our student musicians have made this year. A big thank you to Mr. Denke, Mrs. Ravita, and Ms. Santiago for your dedication and commitment to the music program at Ivy Drive!

We were also honored to host the Welcoming Walkthrough in collaboration with our partners from the CREC Family Engagement team. We welcomed parents/guardians, community partners, and educators to reflect together on one essential question: How welcoming is our school?

The CSFP's feedback and resources support our mission to create inclusive, relationship-centered environments by uplifting the voices of families, students, educators, and the broader community. Thank you to everyone who participated—this process affirmed that even small changes can create BIG belonging at Ivy Drive!
