Ivy Drive School Weekly News - Week of May 27

Posted Date: 5/31/25 (3:27 PM)

Another amazing week of learning has flown by at Ivy Drive School!
Can you believe we’re heading into June already? We’re so excited for the many end-of-year events and celebrations we’ve planned for our students and school community.

This week, students in grades three through five completed the Smarter Balanced Assessments in both literacy and math, as the assessment window has closed by the state. Students did an outstanding job arriving each day ready to give their best, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work, determination, and perseverance throughout the testing period.

Looking ahead to next week, we have several important events on the calendar:

  • Monday, June 2nd at 6:30 PM: The Ivy Drive PTA meeting will take place in the cafeteria.
  • Also on Monday, Northeast Middle School Principal Mr. Sonstrom and Guidance Counselor Mr. Tom Carroll will visit Ivy Drive to meet with our fifth graders. Due to ongoing construction at the new middle school building, our students will unfortunately not be able to attend an in-person orientation this month.
We’re also gearing up for our much-anticipated Field Day on Friday, June 6th (rain date: Monday, June 9th). The PTA has been hard at work organizing fun outdoor activities for all students—and staff!

IVY DRIVE SCHOOL WEEKLY NEWS - WEEK of MAY 27-30

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and collaboration. Amazing things happen every day at Ivy Drive, and we couldn’t do it without our wonderful community.  Enjoy the weekend with your families, and I look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday, June 2nd!

Warm regards,
