Dear Ivy Drive Families:
We are so excited to welcome our students and families back for the first day of school tomorrow! We look forward to a wonderful year of teaching and learning together. To help ensure a smooth start to the day and a safe dismissal in the afternoon, please review the morning arrival and afternoon dismissal procedures below. Your child’s safety is always our top priority.

Morning Student Arrival Procedures – Friendly Reminder

To help ensure a safe and smooth arrival on the first day of school, please review the following morning drop-off procedures:
Morning Arrival Time: Begins at 8:45 a.m. (Staff will be outside to supervise students during arrival time)
Bus Riders: Students arriving by bus will be dropped off in the designated bus area and will enter the building through the cafeteria doors.
Walkers: Students walking to school should use the sidewalks and enter through the main entrance or cafeteria doors.
Student Drop-Off (Car Line):

• Drop-off will take place along the front sidewalk in front of the school.
• Students should exit vehicles quickly and safely along the curb and enter the school through the main entrance door.
• Parents/guardians must remain in their vehicles during morning arrival to keep the line moving safely and efficiently. Staff will be on hand to greet your child(ren).

If you wish to walk your child to school on the first day, please:

• Park your vehicle on Ivy Drive (not in the school driveway).
• Use the sidewalk to walk your child to the school entrance.
• Please note: only students may enter the school during morning arrival.
• Keep in mind that we have limited parking and that buses need safe access to the driveway.

Afternoon Student Dismissal Procedures – Friendly Reminder

To ensure a safe dismissal process:

• Afternoon Dismissal Time: 3:30pm 
• All adults picking up students must provide photo identification and be listed as an approved adult in order to dismiss your child.
• Please park on Ivy Drive and walk over to the exit doors where your child will be dismissed:
  • Kindergarten: Dismissed from the kindergarten doors on the side of the building
  • Grades 1–2: Dismissed from the rear exit of the school
  • Grades 3–5: Dismissed from the main entrance doors
