Redistricting Update

Posted Date: 12/12/25 (03:10 PM)

Good Afternoon Families,

I’m pleased to share that everything with our redistricting plan is moving forward exactly as scheduled. Construction of the new Northeast Middle School is on track, and we are incredibly excited about the progress being made.

If you have a child who will be in middle school next year and would like to confirm which school they will attend, an interactive boundary map is available on our district website (and linked below). The new middle school boundaries mirror the existing high school boundaries. This alignment was intentional—so that students who have historically been split between two different pathways can now remain with their neighborhood peers.

While a small number of students from Chippens Hill will transition to Northeast next year based on where they live, the vast majority will continue on with their current classmates. This shift helps ensure that students remain connected with their neighborhood friends and experience greater continuity as they move through the school system.

As part of this transition, all K–5 schools will shift to a common schedule next year, with the school day running from 8:40-9:10 AM is family drop off the school day starts at 9:10 to 3:30 PM. This consistency will support planning for families and staff, create smoother alignment across the district, and assist our Transportation Department in coordinating efficient routes. Our transportation team is already hard at work designing the most convenient and timely bus routes possible for every child.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all of our students and families.
