Good Morning, Ivy Drive School Community:
What an exciting few weeks of teaching and learning we have had at Ivy Drive! Because last week was a shortened week, I did not send a Weekly News—so we have many wonderful updates to share.

On Monday, February 2, we proudly celebrated two of our fifth grade students, Daria Dyrbavka and Brooke McKenna, who were recognized at the 27th Annual CAS Elementary Arts Awards Banquet. Fifth grade students from across the state were honored, and we were thrilled to celebrate alongside our talented scholars and their families. We are incredibly proud of Daria and Brooke and all they have accomplished!

On Wednesday, January 28, Ivy Drive came together for our Winter Band and Choral Concert. Our fourth and fifth grade musicians performed to a full gymnasium and did an outstanding job. A special thank you to Mrs. Ravita and Mrs. DiVenere for their dedication to our students and for organizing such a wonderful performance.

This week, all students in grades K–5 participated in daily ALICE safety lessons with their classroom teachers. Students did a great job learning how we prepare for and respond to drills and emergency situations at school. Additional information will be shared as we continue implementing ALICE at Ivy Drive and across the district.

On February 25 from 6:00–7:00 PM, Ivy Drive staff will host our Family Learning & Enrichment Event, and all families are invited! Through our Title I and 21st Century partnerships, we are excited to offer an evening of engaging learning experiences. Families and students will also receive take-home games, learning extension activities, and instructional resources to support learning at home. Participants will earn raffle tickets for a chance to win great prizes as a thank you for attending and engaging in the activities.
