Ivy Drive School Weekly News - Week of Feb. 9-13
Good Morning, Ivy Drive School Community,
It has been a joyful and memorable week at Ivy Drive, filled with celebrations, kindness, and the strong sense of community that makes our school such a special place!
100th Day of School Celebration
Our students and staff had a fantastic time celebrating the 100th Day of School - can you believe it? Classrooms marked this important milestone in creative and engaging ways. Many students brought collections of 100 items, participated in hands-on math and literacy activities, and showed their school spirit by wearing festive 100th day shirts. Some of our youngest learners even dressed like they were 100 years old! It was wonderful to see the excitement and pride as students reflected on how much they have learned and grown during the first 100 days.
Valentine’s Day at Ivy Drive – Spreading Kindness
Valentine’s Day was filled with smiles, appreciation, and acts of kindness across our school. We are especially proud of our P.R.I.D.E. Pack Leaders, who organized a schoolwide Valentine’s Candy Gram fundraiser. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, more than 1,000 candy grams were purchased! Their efforts brought so much joy to our Ivy Drive community and served as a wonderful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big impact. Thank you to our P.R.I.D.E. Pack Leaders, Mrs. Bouldin, Mrs. O'Dea and Ms. Zogaj; who supported this meaningful event. We are so proud of the leadership, teamwork, and heart our students continue to show every day.
As we move forward, we remain grateful for the strong partnership between our students, staff, and families. Together, we continue to build a school community where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
Enjoy the rest of the long holiday weekend and I look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Wednesday, February 18th!
Best,
-Erika Coleman
