At Camp Ivy Drive, our school will transform into an interactive learning campground where families can explore engaging literacy, math, and STEM activities designed to support learning at home while celebrating our Ivy Drive P.R.I.D.E. values.

What to Expect at Camp Ivy Drive

Families will travel from “station to station,” collecting ideas, games, and strategies that help students grow as confident learners.
Kindergarten – Grade 1: 
  • Campfire storytelling and early reading strategies
  • Sight word and phonics games you can play at home
  • Hands-on number sense and counting activities
  • Build-and-play STEM challenges using simple household materials
Grades 2 – 3: 
  • Reading comprehension strategies and question prompts for deeper thinking
  • Writing and vocabulary activities connected to storytelling
  • Math problem-solving stations focused on fact fluency and explaining thinking
  • Collaborative STEM tasks such as building, designing, and testing solutions
Grades 4 – 5:
  • Strategies to support independent reading, summarizing, and responding to text
  • Math reasoning and multi-step problem-solving aligned to grade-level expectations
  • STEM design challenges that encourage teamwork, creativity, and perseverance
  • Tips for supporting organization, study habits, and academic discourse at home

Special Features

  • Connect with community partners who support our students and families 
  • Take home learning games, extension activities, and family resources
